Hi, I'm Megan

I’m a versatile leader committed to creating transformational opportunities for others. I guide mission-driven organizations through tough challenges, foster a collaborative work environment, and get things done.

How I like to work

Trainer/Facilitator/Coach: I help nonprofit leaders clarify and de-risk their strategy for scaling impact. Together, we innovate more efficiently by testing and co-creating solutions with our priority communities. I recently developed a Lean Impact online course for Spring Impact that walks organizations through setting a shared goal, prototyping an MVP, testing with users, and responding to data; reach out to preview the content or read about a sample workshop.
Sample clients: ICA Fund, Communities in Schools, Amala Education, ThinkZone, Vehicles for Change, Govern for America, Education SuperHighway
Fractional Staffing: Bring me onto your team 25-50% of the time for 3-6 months as a Chief of Staff, Project Manager, Product Manager, or Innovation Lead.
Sample engagement: Director of Strategic Initiatives (Givers Health)
Project-Based: Have a time-bound strategy, operations, or analytics project? Let’s talk.
Sample projects: New initiative planning and partnership development (Commonwealth), Market sizing (DreamBox Learning), Financial model (SaverLife), Market research (Truss))

About Me

Transformational education, career, and personal growth opportunities have been powerful catalysts in my own life, pushing me to grow and develop my own gifts and focus. I am dedicated to creating those opportunities for others, both individually and systemically.I started my career as an analyst. Excel is my friend and I enjoy being a translator for people who aren't as comfortable with numbers.I spent a good amount of time at a nonprofit building financial products for underserved communities. I joined just as the team was launching an MVP and left as we reached 500,000 users and leveraged our platform to deliver an emergency COVID cash relief program. I learned about rapid growth, culture change, and empowering teams, but my most important learnings came from our users who consistently inspired me with their ingenuity and dreams.I took time off during the pandemic to care for myself and the people around me. I became my own boss and started thinking about my "work" as a portfolio of paid and unpaid interests that build richer communities, from hosting neighborhood garden parties to caring for relatives to helping clients co-create with their constituents. In this season, I’m especially interested in creating communities of care for those who are aging, disabled, or otherwise disenfranchised. Please reach out if you want to work together!
